Andrew J. Baklik, age 74, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2019, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Madeline Polizzi Baklik.
Andy was born in Derby on June 22, 1945, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Dorso Baklik.
A lifelong resident of the Derby community, he had worked as a self-employed carpenter and was a tool & die maker by trade. He loved nature, was a collector of antiques and Indian artifacts and enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his wife Madeline, he leaves to cherish his memory, a loving son, Andrew D. Baklik of Derby, a loving daughter, Allison Jansen (Roger) of New Haven, a caring brother, Thomas Baklik (Diane) of Seymour, cherished grandchildren, Jake and Mariah Jansen and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Richard Slowik and sister, Dorothy Baklik.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 25, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:30 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
On Tuesday, relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
