Andrew “Nugs” Novak

Andrew Nugs” Novak, age 86, husband of 63 years to Lillian Baldelli Novak and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest Sept. 15, 2016. 

He was born in Ansonia May 14, 1930 son of Andrew & Anna Mudry Novak. 

Andrew served in U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machinist for Farrel Corp. in Ansonia. His job required traveling extensively, and while abroad he survived a tsunami in Japan and an earthquake in Mexico City. He was an outgoing person who enjoyed people. He loved life, loved his family and loved the Boston Red Sox. 

In addition to his wife, he leaves his sons Andrew Novak of Denver Colorado, Michael Novak of Ansonia, daughter Jennifer Kruge and husband Father Anthony of Southbury, and grandchildren Kimberly, Rebecca & Bethany. He was predeceased by his brother John. 

Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Services of remembrance will begin at 4:00 p.m. with military honors rendered.
