Andrew Sterling Wachuk, age 95, a 63 year resident of Orange and husband to Lillian Bartkow Wachuk, passed away peacefully at his home on July 14. He was born Feb. 1, 1916 in Ansonia, son of the late John & Anna Wachuk.
Andrew was a lifelong member and assistant pastor at The Evangelical Baptist Church in Ansonia. He worked as divisional foreman for The American Brass Co. in Ansonia. In addition to Lillian, his wife of 72 years, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth & his wife Nancy of Hamden and Robert and his wife Nan of Westport, and their sons (grandsons) Matthew & his wife Jennifer and John & his wife Robin.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home in Ansonia (http://www.jenkinskingfh.com) Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew’s memory may be made to The Evangelical Baptist Church, 23 ½ Franklin St. Ansonia, CT 06401.
