Angela Grabowski, age 73, of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
She is the devoted wife of 43 years of Edmund Grabowski. Angela was born in Maracay, Venezuela on May 23, 1949 and immigrated to the US, daughter of the late Balys and Anna (Melnichuk) Petronis, and lived in Shelton for over 40 years.
She worked for the Oriel/Newport Corp as an electronics assembler and tester before retirement. Angela enjoyed cooking and loved to entertain relatives. She had a big heart and was a friend to everyone she met. Her family was her whole life.
She is the beloved mother of Michael Grabowski and his fiancée Natalia Sydoran. Angela also leaves behind her brother, Bruno Petronis, his wife Janet along with their children and grandchildren. Also, Angela leaves behind her niece Agata Kwiatkowski with her husband Darek Kwiatkowski and their children Natalie and Gabriela. Her family in New Jersey: Maciej, Michal, Lukasz, Janek Lenczewski, and their families. New York families: Sylwia, Izabela, Patryk, Anna Grabowski and their families. She also leaves behind her family in Lithuania, Aurimas, Donata, Donatas, Voldemaras, Evaldas, Zita, Vaidilute, Julius, Viktorija, Saule along with many other friends and family from Poland, Ukraine and America. She was predeceased by her son Adam Grabowski.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday September 7th from 5 to 7 PM. Her funeral procession will leave the parlor on Thursday at 10:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Michael’s Church in Derby. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Monroe.
