Angelo D’Agnone, 84, of Shelton, CT, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Angelo was born on October 20th, 1940, in Civitanova del Sannio, to Simeone and Felicetta D’Agnone. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada as a young boy and moved to Connecticut when he married Fernanda D’Andrea in 1962 and they had three children, Anthony, John and Paul. He was a business owner for 35 years as a HVAC contractor and was well respected by all his peers. He was a devout Catholic, an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan and always friendly, generous and willing to help out family and friends. Traditional Sunday dinners with family were the highlight of his week.
Angelo is survived by his wife, Fernanda; his sister Esterina Latour; his children, Anthony (Pam), John (Kristina) and Paul (Barbara); and grandchildren; Marc, Matthew (Melissa), Michael, Anthony, Rachel and Amanuel (Manu) and his great grandchild Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simeone and Felicetta D’Agnone, his brother Anthony D’Agnone and sister Concettina Twist.
Angelo will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His kindness and generosity will always be remembered. His family would like to acknowledge all the kindness and support from family and friends throughout.
Friends are invited to greet Angelo’s family on Thursday May 1st from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. On Friday everyone is invited to go directly to St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton at 11 AM for Angelo’s Mass of Christian Burial.
