Angelo J. Signore, 85, entered into eternal rest on October 22, 2012, at Hospice in Cape Coral, FL. He was the beloved husband of Mafalda “Muffie” Nuzzo Signore.
Mr. Signore was born in New Haven on September 27, 1927, son of the late Carmel Gambardella Signore. Angelo was a resident of North Haven before moving to Cape Coral, FL in 1994. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife Muffie, he is survived by a loving daughter, Cheryl L. Henri and her husband Patrick of Ansonia, a son, Paul Signore, a sister, Louise Pepe and her husband Caesar of Cape Coral, FL, granddaughters, Nicole Almeida of FL and Michele Brenneis of East Haven, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Also very dear to him were his 9 step-children and their children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of his life on Sunday November 18, 2012, at 2:00 pm, at St. Michael Catholic War Veteran’s Hall, 112 Derby Avenue, Derby, with Deacon Victor Lembo officiating. Following the service, U.S. Army military honors will be accorded. Private interment will take place in the family plot in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia is privileged with the local arrangements.
