Angelo Michael DiGiovanni, age 69, beloved husband of Janet T. Rice DiGiovanni of Seymour, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 6, 2025. Born in Derby on January 20, 1956, he was the son of the late Angelo and Josephine Cisto DiGiovanni.
Mr. DiGiovanni was a talented football athlete & 1973 graduate of Seymour High School, as well as a lifelong resident of Seymour. He worked as a sales representative for the Farrel Corporation of Ansonia for over 40 years, until the time of his retirement in 2019. Mr. DiGiovanni was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed trips to bike week in Daytona, FL and Laconia, NH. He loved spending time outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, golfer and often enjoyed the beach of Ocean City, MD. He will be long remembered for his special love for his family and extended family.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his devoted children, Deanna DiGiovanni and her husband, Miguel Cruz of Seymour and Bryan DiGiovanni of Seymour; cherished grandchildren, Jasper DiGiovanni and Ryder Cruz of Seymour; a sister Gloria Theriault of FL; niece, Patricia “Pattie” Foehrenbach and her husband, Scott of MO; nephew, Frederick “Ricky” Dlugokenski of Seymour and his former spouse, Rae Porell Dlugokenski of Seymour; great nieces , Ericka and Sara Dlugokenski & great nephew, Fredrick Dlugokenski, all of Seymour. Mr. DiGiovanni was predeceased by a sister, Annette “Toni” Dlugokenski and her husband, Frederick S. Dlugokenski and a nephew, Richard “Rick” Hallaman.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12:00 Noon to 2:30 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Funeral services will take place at 2:30 PM, interment will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleemeorial.com.
