Anita Tur Carlson, age 84, of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in her home. She was the devoted wife of the late, Joseph Carlson, Jr.
Mrs. Carlson was born in Bridgeport on July 7, 1928 daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Bonet) Tur and has been a resident of Shelton and Milford for most of her life.
She was a retired registered nurse and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Shelton.
Mrs. Carlson is the beloved mother of Aricyn M.V. Carlson and the late Mark J. G. Carlson and cherished grandmother of Gillian Carlson. She is predeceased by her brother, Joseph Tur and her sisters, Lilyan Ribas and Mary Padilla. Mrs. Carlson’s family would like to extend their appreciation to Anita’s health care providers, Dawn and Katrina.
Friends may greet her family on Friday from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Saturday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
