Ann E. Passander

Ann E. Passander, 90, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 18, 2011, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard R. Passander.

Mrs. Passander was born in Derby on Dec. 26, 1920, daughter of the late Rocco and Louisa Buismato. A lifelong resident of Derby and Ansonia, she was employed as a sales clerk in the Women’s Department at the former Bradlees Department Store in Derby for 25 years until her retirement in 1990. She was an avid NY Yankees and UConn Women’s Basketball Fan and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Ronald L. Passander (Rosann) of North Haven, a daughter, Deborah A. Reyher (Stephen) of Ansonia, 3 cherished grandchildren, Dana Teslik (Peter IV) of Southington, Stephen Reyher (Stefanie) of Seymour and Loriann Reyher of Ansonia, 3 great-grandchildren, Stephen Reyher, Lilly Reyher, and Peter Teslik V, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Anthony, and Joseph Buismato and sisters, Rose Esposito and Theresa Fusco.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday July 22, 2011, at 9:15am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
