Ann K. Boucher, 91, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 19, 2011, at Bishop Wicke Health Care in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter A. Boucher.
Mrs. Boucher was born in Shelton on June 16, 1920, daughter of the late John and Katherine Pyra Baklik Sr. A resident of Shelton for most of her life, she also lived ten years of her retirement in Ocala, FL, and the last fourteen years with her daughter in Ansonia. She was employed at Schick Razor in Milford for eighteen years and prior at the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton. Ann was a member of the Shelton Senior Center, loved to travel, play cards and bingo and was a loyal NY Yankees fan.
She is survived by a loving and devoted daughter, Beverly A. Malerba of Ansonia, two cherished grandchildren, Vincent W. “Jim” Malerba III and his wife Nina of Quakertown, PA and Nicole Newkirk and her husband Eric of Ansonia, five great-grandchildren, Bradley, Rian, and Matthew Newkirk and Grace and Marco Malerba, a sister in law, Jeanne Baklik of Shelton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John Baklik Jr., Joseph Baklik, and Stanley Pyra and a sister Helen Beatrice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann’s funeral service and celebration of her life on Saturday October 22, 2011 at 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, with Rev. Virginia H. Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton. Visiting hours will be held on SATURDAY MORNING from 8:30 am until the service begins. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the nurses, aides, and staff of Pavilion 3 and the Recreation Department at Bishop Wicke Health Care for all of their care and concern during Ann’s stay.
