Anna Allen

Anna Allen, loving wife of 67 years to Howard R. Allen Sr. and longtime Valley resident, passed away peacefully on Dec. 16 with her family by her side. 

She was born in Ansonia, daughter of the late Angelo and Giuseppina Paissan Nicoletti. She worked for First Union Bank in Trumbull until retirement and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. 

Anna was a strong woman who evidenced that in her long courageous battle with cancer. She was passionate about what she believed in. Anna loved to travel with her husband around the U.S., and in Italy with her daughters. She loved coloring, music and the time spent with her family. She will be greatly missed. 

In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Catherine Foster (Scott) Ansonia, Debra Arms (Robert) of Seymour, Susan Gervais (David) Port Charlotte Fl., and Laura LaFrancois (Shane) of Beacon Falls, her son Howard Allen Jr. (Michelle) of Southbury and her sister Mary DiDio of Wallingford. MeMa” will also be dearly missed by her 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with friends asked to go directly to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. There are no calling hours. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia, has been privileged with arrangements.
