Anna McNemar, age 93, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Bishop Wicke.
She was the devoted wife of the late Robert McNemar, Sr. Anna was born in Bridgeport, on November 14, 1927, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Tkacs and was a Bridgeport resident for many. While in Bridgeport she met her husband and later moved to Derby. She worked as a Lead Lady at Nordon’s for many years until her retirement. Anna enjoyed cooking and baking. Most of all she adored her grandchildren and spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bishop Wicke for their loving care and support while she was in their care.
Anna was the mother of Robert McNemar, Jr., mother-in-law of Denise McNemar, sister of Mary Zrelak, loving grandmother of Zeaneth McNemar and his wife Erin and Aric McNemar and great grandmother of Alexandria and Xavier McNemar. She was also survived by several special nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by four brothers, Andrew, John, Nicholas and Michael Tkacs.
On Friday, family and friends are invited to her graveside service at 11 AM at St. John Cemetery, 2610 Nichols Ave., Stratford.
