Anna P. Rovinelli

Anna P. Rovinelli, 87, of Ansonia, entered into rest on February 28, 2012, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Rovinelli.

Mrs. Rovinelli was born in Ansonia on January 28, 1925, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Lattanzia Yagovane. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed for many years as a sales clerk at the former Woolworth’s Dept. Store and The Ann Shop both in Derby. Anna was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. 

She is survived by a son, Donald J. Rovinelli of Derby, a daughter, Patricia Santo (Richard) of Ansonia, 4 grandchildren, Michael P. Furlo (Kelly) of Beacon Falls, Melissa Furlo of New Haven, Dr. Steven J. Rovinelli (Susan) of Shelton and DeAnne Tokarz (John) of Seymour, 5 great-grandsons, 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday March 3, 2012, at 8:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.
