Anne E. (Fiore) Ardito, age 91, entered eternal rest on August 29, 2024, at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Ardito Sr. Anne was born at home in Ansonia on August 31, 1932, daughter of the late Jack and Frances DeStefano Fiore.
A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed as a secretary for Griffin Hospital in Derby for many years. Her hobbies included bingo, scrabble, and card games, especially Mahjong. She also enjoyed trips to the casino. Anne will fondly be remembered by her family for her delicious homemade pizza and spinach bread.
Anne leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Joseph A. Ardito Jr. (Michelle) of Bethany and Robert Ardito (Angela) of Ansonia, daughter, Lynn Baron of Calabash, NC, grandchildren, Robert P. Baron II (Katelyn) of Naugatuck, Justine Baron of NC, Pat Aldo of Ansonia, Zachary Ardito, Lucas Ardito and Nicholas Ardito all of Ansonia, Steve Marcucio (Amy) of SC, Joseph A. Ardito III of Shelton, James T. Ardito of Middletown and Christina Ardito DelVecchio (Antonio) of Naugatuck, great-grandchildren, Steve Marcucio Jr., Ava DelVecchio, Roman DelVecchio, Adalyn Baron and Robert Baron III, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Aldo, son-in-law, Robert Baron Sr. and sisters, Mary Madigosky, Margaret Dell’Orso and Theresa Dell’Orso.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Tuesday September 3, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
On Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024, her funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home then proceed to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
