Anne J. DiMauro

Anne J. DiMauro, age 92, of Oxford, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2017, at Griffin Hospital, following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. DiMauro.

Mrs. DiMauro was born in New Haven on Feb. 27, 1925, daughter of the late Albert and Anna Carpentier Scaramella. She was employed at the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton and later at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, until her retirement. Anne was a member of the Jewish Community Center in Woodbridge where she enjoyed swimming and exercising. She also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Barbara A. Pettinella (Robert A.) and Michelle Krasenics of Oxford, cherished grandchildren, Robert T. Pettinella, Ashley Pryde (Michael), Anthony Pettinella (Amy) and Maegan Deegan (Kevin) all of Oxford and Louis Krasenics (Sara) of CA, great-grandchildren, Lauren Pettinella, Jared Pettinella, Nicholas Pryde, Anthony Pettinella and Eloise Pettinella, a sister, Carmel Cavallaro of New Haven and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa A. DiMauro, brothers, Thomas and Carmen Scaramella and sisters, Theresa Zullo and Helen Hitchko.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday August 1, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday, her funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
