Anne Jemioto, age 99, of Derby entered into rest on Sunday, December 10, 2022 at Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Jemioto.
Anne was born in Shelton, on June 29, 1924 daughter of the late Pasqual and Josephine (Scermino) Siraco and was a Derby resident for most of her life. She was an inspector for the former B.F. Goodrich for 20 years until 1975. Anne was an avid reader, bingo player and enjoyed watching daily soap operas. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and taking care of her home.
The family would like to thank her special friends Janina, Helena, and Vicki for all of their help and caregiving as well as The All About You Homecare Agency staff Omi, Marci and Pam for always getting Anne back on her feet. The family would also like to thank Anne’s niece Ellen Demagistris for all of her help and guidance along the way.
Anne was the beloved mother of Joseph (Dr. Terrance Ursetta) Jemioto, John (Geraldine) Jemioto and Karen Jemioto, sister of, Frances Russo and Edith Caplik and sister-in-law Sandra Jemioto. She was the loving grandmother of Danielle and Rebecca (Matt), great grandmother of Matthew and Macayla and was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by four brothers, Peter, Tony, Pasqual and Joseph Siraco and a sister Carmella Harbort.
On Wednesday, friends may call from 9:30 — 10:30 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral procession will follow at 10:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Church. Her burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.
