Anne S. Bukowski

Anne S. Bukowski, age 98, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Hewitt Memorial Hospital. 

She was the devoted wife of the late Peter Bukowski.

Mrs. Bukowski was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, daughter of the late Martin and Theresie (Matocha) Slanski and was a Shelton resident for most of her life. She was a weaver for the former Blumenthal’s and Tingu Mill in Seymour and later a shipping clerk for Weimann Brothers. Mrs. Bukowski was a member of the Shelton and Derby Senior Centers, and a congregant of St. Joseph’s Church.

The family would like to thank, Helen Soluck and Donna Ogonowska the two very special caregivers at her home, Dr. Murugesapillai Koneswaran, George Sheehy and the therapists, aides and nurses at Hewitt Memorial Rehabl for their loving care and support. 

She is the loving mother of Anne-Louise Fournier and her husband Ronald and sister of Louise Windisch. Mrs. Bukowski is the beloved godmother of 3 godchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, John Slanski, Joseph and Anthony Martinka and sisters, Frances Petrovych and Rose Martinka. 

Friends may call on Monday from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Monday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Her entombment will follow at Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum.
