Annette Deniege “Annie” Winters

Annette Deniege Annie” Winters, age 56, entered peaceful rest on December 20, 2022, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was the loving and devoted wife of Mark C. Winters. 

Annie was born in Bridgeport on December 23, 1965, beloved daughter of Ralph and Claire LaVoie Vittorio of Shelton. She grew up in Shelton and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Trumbull in 1983 and attended Branford Hall Career Institute where she attained her associate’s degree in paralegal studies. She was employed at the former Health Net in Shelton and later as a supervisor at Anthem Health in Wallingford since 2014. A talented athlete, Annie loved playing slow pitch softball in Valley leagues and in Bridgeport throughout her life and was a gymnastics instructor. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Joseph C. Winters and Christopher J. Winters of Ansonia, Marc S. Winters of CT and Cody E. Winters of Seymour, sisters, Concetta Vittorio, and Michelle Laliots (Thomas) of Shelton, grandson, Storm Winters of Seymour and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday December 29, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 6:30 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Annie’s life will take place with Rev. Jeffrey Gubbiotti officiating. Burial will be private.
