Anthony “Babe” Paupini, age 96 of Derby, entered into his eternal rest on Thursday
May 15, 2014 in the Griffin Hospital Derby. He was the devoted husband of 69 years to Nanda Brecciaroli Paupini.
Babe was born in Derby on May 1, 1918, son of the late Anthony and Emma Castracani Paupini, and was a lifelong resident.
He was employed at the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton, and retired as a purchasing agent for Webster Bank after many years of employment. He was a member and Past President of the Adriatic Marchigian Club in Derby and a former Zoning Officer for the City of Derby, and a member of the Derby Democratic Town Committee. Babe also enjoyed gardening, and painting artistic scenes.
Babe is the beloved father of Barbara Krilivsky and her husband Peter. The cherished grandfather of Brian Krilivsky and his wife Michele,and David Krilivsky and Erin. He is the adoring great grandfather of Lillian and Greta Krilivsky, and leaves several nieces and nephews.
Babe was predeceased by his two brothers Domenic and Peter Paupini, and his three sisters Mary Massi, Flora Steven, and Lillian Tocacelli.
Friends may greet his family on Sunday from 3 to 6 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Monday his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby.
