Anthony Dinice, age 90 of Shelton, entered eternal rest on Jan. 8th, 2017 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was the devoted husband of 67 years to Regina (Ellsworth) Dinice.
He was born in Paterson, NJ on November 7th, 1926 son of the late Benjamin and Rose (Barbarisi) Dinice.
He is the beloved father of daughters Kathy Dinice-Allen (Lester) of Branford, Suzanne Dinice-Tomasko (Paul) of Bethany, Rose Dinice (fiancé Lou Santella and his son, best buddy, L.J.) of Shelton, and son Edward Dinice (Julie) of Terryville loving grandfather of Michael, Marybeth and Brianna Dinice and step granddaughters Lauren and Jackie Allen. He is also survived by brother Benjamin Dinice (Irene) of Wallingford , sister RoseMarie Dinice of Seymour and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Paul Dinice (Mary) of Derby.
Anthony was a veteran of the US Army/Air Corps serving during W.W.II. He was employed for many years at B.F Goodrich, Valley Bowl and Bridgeport Metal Goods, before his retirement. In the day he was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing golf with friends and at times loved helping others part with their money during the occasional poker game. Anthony also enjoyed traveling to Bermuda and Florida, cooking and entertaining for family and friends, tending to his tomato garden and driving to Mohegan Sun with his love Regina on weekday afternoons.
Anthony loved to have people around him and will be greatly missed by his family as well as all whose lives he touched.
His family would like to thank Griffin Hospital for their care and compassionate during his stay.
Friends may call on Thursday Morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His funeral service with full military honors will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 am in the funeral home.
