Anthony Jason “TJ” Parente, age 40, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2021, in his home. He was the loving fiancée of Melissa Duque.
TJ was born in Derby on March 8, 1980, beloved son of Amanda Lee Parente of Naugatuck and the late Anthony Parente. He resided in Ansonia until he and his family moved to Naugatuck in 1989. He was employed as an iron worker at Steel Tech Building Products in South Windsor for several years. TJ loved his family and was extremely proud of his son and daughter. He was an adventurous traveler who always wanted to see and learn about the new place he was visiting.
TJ enjoyed playing Black Jack, riding dirt bikes with his son and was a fan of the NY Giants, NY Yankees and Louisiana State University, “Go Tigers!”
In addition to his mom and fiancée, he is survived by a son, Domenico Anthony Parente, a daughter, Gianna Rose Parente, brother, Michael Parente, all of Naugatuck, maternal grandfather, John Lee of Lafayette, GA, uncles, John Lee (fiancée Melissa Young) of GA and Nunzio Parente (Maureen) of Ansonia, aunt, Laura Parente of Ansonia, cousins, Nicholas and Adam Parente, Thomas and James O’Neil, Ryan Rucker and Raven Culpepper as well as extended family in both CT and GA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral (please meet directly) on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Masks are required and social distancing is expected. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby. In trying to keep themselves and others safe, there will be no public visiting hours.
