Anthony M. Limauro Jr., 83, entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2016, at CT Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Alcine Doyle Limauro.
Mr. Limauro was born in New Haven on July 25, 1933, son of the late Anthony and Elvira Gaetano Limauro. A resident of Ansonia for sixty years, he was employed as a truck mechanic for the former Derby Oil Company until his retirement. A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he honorably served during the Korean Conflict. Anthony loved fishing, clamming and spending time at the West Haven Beach.
He is survived by sons, James A. Limauro (Patricia) of Bethany and Thomas J. Limauro of North Haven, daughters, Nancy J. Limauro of Uncasville and Christine A. Rowland (Keith) of Ansonia, a brother, Michael Limauro (Beverly) of West Haven, sisters, Elizabeth Genovese of West Haven and Barbara Goodmaster of Orange, grandchildren, Anthony and Laurean Limauro and Samantha and Thomas Rowland, great-grandson, Christian Limauro and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Gallipoli.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 9, 2016, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, his funeral will commence at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment with U.S. Air Force military honors will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
