Anthony Parente, 59, entered into eternal rest on December 6, 2015, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Amanda Lee Parente.
Mr. Parente was born in Derby on November 5, 1956, son of the late Domenico Parente and Rosina Desiderato Parente. Anthony was raised in Ansonia and lived in Naugatuck since 1989. He was employed as a general foreman at Ansonia Copper and Brass for over 40 years until his retirement. Tony was proud to have coached Pop Warner Football in Prospect for many years.
In addition to his wife Amanda, he is survived by sons, Anthony “Tj” Parente and his fiancé Melissa Duque of Naugatuck and Michael Parente and his wife Heather of Ansonia, a brother, Nunzio Parente and his wife Maureen of Ansonia, a sister, Laura Parente of Ansonia, adopted son, Adam Strong of Naugatuck, grandchildren, Gianna and Domenico Parente, nephews, Nicholas and Adam Parente and many cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday December 11, 2015, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, his funeral will take place at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
