Antoinette “Toni” Jaskilka, wife of Robert Jaskilka and Ansonia resident, entered into eternal rest Sept. 10 at CT Hospice in Branford.
She was born in Derby to the late Harry and Tessie Storchak.
She graduated from Stamford Hospital School of Nursing and worked for A.C. Gilbert, Veterans’ Hospital in West Haven, and the former Carpenter Steel Co. and General Electric in Bridgeport and Fairfield as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse.
In addition to her husband Robert she leaves to cherish her memory her niece Lisa Steinis, Lisa’s husband William and their children Ashley & Tyler, all of Naugatuck, sister in-law Sandra Storchak of Seymour, and extended family Alexander, Andrij, Volodymyr, Taras & Nataliya Jatsiv and Maria Bilas, all of Ansonia. Toni was predeceased by her brother Nicholas Storchak, nephew Nicholas Storchak Jr. and godmother Mary Kingersky Skurat.
She was an avid New York Yankees fan and UCONN girls basketball follower.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Panakhyda services held at 6:30 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. http://www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17 and will leave for Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter and St. Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave. Ansonia at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter & St. Paul Cemetery.
