Arlene Mary Sambrook, age 85, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Bridgeport Hospital.
She was the devoted wife of the late Albert Edward Sambrook. Arlene was born in Bridgeport on January 27, 1935 daughter of the late Frank and Sophie (Sadowski) Godo. She was a retired nurse working for many years at the United Methodist Convalescent Home. S
he was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Church. She loved cooking, quilting, and her home was always open to family and friends. Arlene was the beloved mother of Sharon Colwell and her husband Richard, Joanne Roulanaitis and her husband John, Albert Sambrook, Jr. and his wife Laura, Frank Sambrook and his late wife Deborah and William Sambrook, sister of Robert Godo, Lorraine Shea-Wall and the late Frank Godo.
She was the loving grandmother of Richard Charles Lindberg, Patricia Lindberg, Richard Philip Colwell, Megan B. Colwell, Thomas Lindberg, Michael Colwell, Kayla Sambrook, the late Albert Sambrook III and the late Jack Sambrook. Arlene is also survived by her beloved friend and neighbor Francis Kondash and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic health crisis a Mass Christian Burial will be held in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton at a future date to be announced for the public to support Arlene’s Family.
