Armando Astolfi

SEYMOUR: Armando Astolfi, age 90 of Seymour, beloved husband of Gelsina (Galante) Astolfi, entered peaceful rest on Monday, July 1, 2024 in Bridgeport Hospital with family by his side. Born in Boville Ernica, Province of Frosinone, Italy, on May 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Bevera) Astolfi.

A proud veteran of the US Army during the Korean War, Armando was a retired electrician. Standing at 5’4”, he was a mountain of a man who helped anyone in need. He enjoyed working with his hands and gardening, but, to him, family was most important and he put it above all things. He loved the time he spent with his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, especially. An Italian immigrant, affectionately known as Poppies” to his grandchildren, he prided himself on the virtues of hard-work, but was always jovial and humorous with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Gelsina, of 60 years, survivors include his loving daughters, Anna Stanley and her husband John of Seymour, and Tina Astolfi of Beacon Falls; his 6 cherished grandchildren, John Stanley, Brianna Devonshuk, Armand Stanley, Gelsina Stanley, Lisa Laico,and Steven Astolfi. In addition to his parents, Armando was predeceased by his brother, Gino Astolfi. All services are private and the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home at 161 W.
Church St, Seymour, CT has been entrusted with his arrangements.
