Aurelio Gracia, Sr.

Aurelio Gracia, Sr., age 76, of Shelton peacefully entered into rest on Saturday April 4, 2020 in Gardner Heights Healthcare Center. He was the beloved husband of Laraine M. (Baldovin) Gracia for 55 years. Aurelio was born in Bridgeport on March 16, 1944 the son of the late Aurelio G. and Pauline (Pavone) Gracia.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. In addition to enjoying time with his kids and grandkids, he enjoyed working on his 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Custom 455, going fishing, and working in his yard. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 443, 191 Retirees and the Oldsmobile Car Club.

He is survived by his loving children Aurelio Gracia, Jr. and his wife Christine, Michael A. Gracia and his wife Sandra, Daniel A. Gracia and his wife Angela, and Tara M. Gracia, his grandchildren Bianca R. Gracia, Isabella M. Gracia, Scarlet R. Riccitelli, Aurelio A. Gracia, Angelo M. Gracia, Victoria N. Gracia, Violet R. Riccitelli, and Gavin H. De Blanco, his sisters Maxine Gracia Del Mastro, Susan Gracia Hayes, and Theresa Gracia Cimmino, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Richard and John Gracia.

Due to the current pandemic health crisis his graveside service with military honors will be private for his immediate family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
