Barbara Bauer, an 83 year old Naugatuck resident and wife of the late Rev. Roger L. Bauer, passed away March 16.
She was born Oct. 28, 1935 in Derby, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Vazur Amalavage.
She worked as a nurse for the Naugatuck V.N.A. and attended The Naugatuck United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister Lorraine Amalavage of Seymour, her step children Leslie Egensteiner (Warren) of Shelton, Colleen Bauer of Gainsville, Georgia, Roger Donovan Bauer of New Mexico and Adam Thomas Bauer (Deb) of Waterbury, and step grandchildren Jennifer, Art, Matthew, Stephanie, Aaron, Sierra, Lashay & Crystal and seven great step grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Janet Amalavage.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT.
