Barbara F. Bartone, age 90, of Derby passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton. She was the wife of the late Ralph Bartone, Jr. She was born on October 7, 1933 in New York,NY, daughter of the late Joan Vicino and was a resident of Derby for most of her life.
Barbara attended Seymour High School. She was a longtime resident of Derby while attending to raising her children. She worked at Derby Cellular and Griffin Hospital, where she was employed in the central processing department for 14 years. She then went on to work at Mariner Health which changed to Hilltop Health Center for many years until her retirement.
Barbara loved to knit and crochet and loved cooking macaroni every Sunday for her children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her four children, Ralph Bartone, III (Deborah), JoAnn Nero (Carl), Richard Bartone (Cory) and Ronald Bartone (Catherine), as well as ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her three granddogs.
Her funeral services will be private. The family requests that memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be sent to Bishop Wicke, 584 Long Hill Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484.
