Barbara H. Shea, age 81, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2017, at Yale-New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Shea III.
Mrs. Shea was born in Milford on August 14, 1936, daughter of the late Mary Nagy Hoff. She was employed by the City of Derby as the assistant tax collector for seventeen years, until her retirement in 2001. Barbara ran Bingo at the Shelton Senior Center for many years and enjoyed playing cards. She was a fan of all sports, especially UConn Women’s Basketball.
She is survived by a loving and devoted son, John W. Shea of Derby, cherished grandson, Robert J. Shea of Derby and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, William, Arthur and Robert Hoff and a sister, Dorothy Falacaro.
