Barbara (Krozier) Bukowski, age 91, entered eternal rest on December 9, 2023, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the beloved wife of fifty-eight years to the late Edward G. “Chief” Bukowski.
Barbara was born in Bridgeport on June 7, 1932, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Centner Krozier. She resided in Fairfield prior to moving to Shelton after marriage. Barbara was employed in the bakery of Stop and Shop in Shelton for over twenty years. She was a devout communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Derby. Barbara enjoyed visiting the Amish country, cooking, and collecting dolls and nick-nacks. Her most cherished time was spent with her loving family especially her grandchildren.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, a son, George E. Bukowski Sr. (Marlene) of Derby, a daughter, Sandra E. Lazowski (Frank Sr.) of Derby, son-in-law, Joseph LeMay of Shelton, grandchildren, Frank Lazowski Jr. (Sara), Andrew Lazowski (Jacqueline), Eric Lazowski (Heather), Victoria Church (Geoff), George E. Bukowski Jr., Jason Bukowski, and Zachary Bukowski, seven great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia L. LeMay, a brother, Theodore “Sonny” Krozier and a sister, Karen Lazowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday morning December 14, 2023, from 9:00 – 10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Her funeral will then proceed to St. Michael’s Church in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
