Bartolo J. LoVarco, 63, of Ansonia, entered into rest on May 13, 2016, at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.
Bart was born in Derby on July 2, 1952, son of the late Joseph and Francesca Filippone LoVarco. He was employed as a painter at ECA Electrical Manufacturing and previously owned Bart’s Shoe Repair.
He is survived by a loving sister, Mary Gibson (William) of Ansonia, a nephew, Seth Gibson, a niece, Keira Gibson (Jameson Aubut), of Ansonia, great nephew, Cole Gibson, great niece, Kylie Gibson, aunt, Concetta Filippone of Ansonia, extended family, Mikkie Lynn Magda and her children Kareem and Alaeja of Seymour and many cousins. He was predeceased by his companion, Linda Magda.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2016, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia. At 7 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Bart’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to the Ansonia Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
