Beatrice M. Kirkeby, 88, of St. Augustine died on April 27, 2013.
She was a native of Ansonia, CT and resided in FL since 1992. She was a devoted wife of 58 years to Samuel Nelson Kirkeby (1921 – 2003) and mother of 6. She was an active parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Huntington, CT and St. Anastasia in St. Augustine. She was active in the Garden Club, was a teacher with “Learn to Read”, and with CCD at St. Anastasia Church.
Survivors include her 6 children, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 8 nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers, 1 sister & 1 nephew.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anastasia Catholic Church on May 27, 2013 at 9:00am with Father Seamus O’Flynn as Celebrant. Donations can be made in Mrs. Kirkeby’s name to the Bailey Center for Caring c/o Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
