Benito Bonano, age 73, of Shelton, entered into rest in his home on Thursday, February 6, 2025. He is the beloved husband of 47 years to Sandra (Crego) Bonano. Benito was born on April 5, 1951 to Benito and Isabel (Rivera) Bonano in Rio Grande, PR, and lived in the Bronx before coming to Shelton a year ago.
He worked as a Postal Carrier for the USPS and enjoyed golfing, paddleball, bowling, and softball. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominos, and celebrating his big, beautiful family. Most of all he cherished being papa to his grandchildren and spending time with them.
He is survived by his son, Benito Bonano, III and three daughters, Denise Bonano-Cardona, Stacy Bonano-Mohabir, and Ingrid Bonano, and his five cherished grandchildren. Benito is predeceased by one brother, Jose Bonano.
Friends are invited to greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton on Monday from 4 to 7.
