Beulah R. “Pete” Merritt, 78, of Naugatuck, peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2014, at Griffin Hospital.
Mrs. Merritt was born in Stamford on December 1, 1935, daughter of the late Francis and Claire Atkinson Dyer. She enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, tag sales and playing bingo.
She is survived by five sons, Donald Graham of FL, David Graham of NV, Kevin Graham of Southbury, Howard Merritt of Ansonia and Tracy Merritt of NV, a daughter, Coleen Weber of FL, a brother, Richard Dyer of FL, two sisters, Joan Nutting of Bethel and Arline Dick of MD, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting will take place on Wednesday April 30, 2014, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 7:00 pm, a funeral service and celebration of Pete’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Burial will be private.
