Beverly Martin, age 61, of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side, after a long battle with cancer.
She was the devoted wife of 42 years to Bill Martin. Beverly was born in Derby, on September 3, 1953, daughter of Beverly (Harris) August and the late John August and was a lifelong valley resident.
She was an administrator for Transwitch Corporation in Shelton for many years. Beverly was very active with the Tiger Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for 40 years.
She is the beloved mother of Michael A. Martin and his wife Amy, sister of, Joan Mauri, Jane Walsh, Cheryl, John and Paul August and the late Susan Bova. Beverly is the loving grandmother of Wyatt, Morgan, Sadie, Tess and Josie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Saturday friends may call from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Her funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Pastor Jim Midgley officiating.
