Billie M. Powe, age 64, of Shelton entered into rest on Sunday June 9, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born in Milford on Dec. 31, 1948 daughter of the late Michael and Mary Simko.
Billie was a member of the 35th Regiment Foote based out of Lake George, NY a group that did historical reenactments of the 1700s. She was especially known for being an excellent seamstress,and designer of many of the ladies costumes. She spent a great deal of time researching period costumes and replicating them for the member of her group.
A loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister, Billie is survived by her beloved three children Jonathan Powe, Sadie Powe, and Charlotte Marxo and four beloved grandchildren, Gavin Powe, Zachary Powe, and Dashiell Marxo and loving three sisters Barbara Davis, Linda Simko and Carol Myers. She also leaves her dear friend Ted St. Amamd.
Her funeral service will be private. The Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton are entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606
