Boleslaus “Benny” Kudej, 75, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday morning December 2, 2011, at Shady Knoll H.C. in Seymour. He was the devoted husband of the late Patricia Curnen Kudej.
Mr. Kudej was born in Derby on August 12, 1936, son of the late John and Helen Gola Kudej. Benny was employed as an equipment operator at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for many years until his retirement. He was a quiet, loving man who was close to his family. Benny also loved animals.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Walter, Louis, and Frank Kudej of Derby, 4 sisters, Alfreda Levinsky of Middlebury, Gladys Kwiatkowski of South Meriden, Frances Miklinevich of Seymour, and Helen Knapp of Seymour, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Chester and Henry “Edward” Kudej and a sister, Ann Kowalczyk.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday December 5, 2011, at 9:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Michael Church in Derby. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Michael Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on SUNDAY from 3 – 6 pm.
