Brian E. Browning

Brian E. Browning, age 54, of Beaver St., Ansonia, died Feb. 12 at Griffin Hospital. 

Born in Derby on September 26, 1956, son of the late Alvin and Mary Kennedy Browning. 

A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a graduate of Ansonia High School class of 1974 and was a member of their baseball and football teams also playing C.Y.O. basketball. 

He was employed as an engraver for Blanchettes Sporting Goods of Shelton. A member of the Norwood A.C., as well as a player for their softball team, and Vinnie’s Cafe softball team. 

He was a 20 plus year Ansonia Pop Warner coach. Brian also belonged to the Valley Pool League, he was a musician for the Emerald Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as St. Aden Drum and Bugle Corps. 

Survivors are a brother Robert J. and his wife, Rose Ann Browning of Waterbury. 

His funeral service was held directly in the Church of the Assumption Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Associates or the Kidney Foundation in care of the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff Street, Ansonia.
