Bruce Erwin Heine, 80, of Ansonia passed away peacefully June 18, 2025 at Griffin Hospital, in Derby, CT.
Bruce, the son of the late Erwin and Margaret Schneider Heine of Seymour, was born May 29, 1945, in Derby CT. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1963 and served in the US Army, stationed in Korea. After service, he returned home and worked in home improvement, until graduating from Post University and UNH with high honors. He retired from Covidien of North Haven.
Bruce enjoyed many years of friendship with his good friends, Gary Krofssik, Charlie Bimmler, and Jimmy Geanuracos. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend, Bobby Newkirk of West Haven. When these guys recount their adventures together, the stories never disappoint.
Bruce enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, dining out, music, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a big fan of the UCONN HUSKIES women’s and men’s basketball teams. He had a strong bond with his brother Bob, who he missed dearly after his passing. He especially loved spending time with his sweetheart Patti and riding his Can Am Spyder RT.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife Patti Kravec, his children: Jarrett Heine and Deborah Barletta, son in law John Barletta, and his sister and brother-in-law Mickey and June Estok. He is also survived by his extended family Anthony Benedetti, James, Rachel and Olivia Sewitsky, and Anthony, Michael, and Victoria Martini. Bruce is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bruce is predeceased by his loving first wife Joan Adamson Heine, his brother Robert Heine and his nephew Robert Heine Jr.
Family and friends will be received from 10am to 12pm followed by a brief service on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Miller and Macari Family Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. Seymour, CT 06483. Burial will follow immediately after at Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church Street Ansonia, CT 06401.
