Cara Lisa Recce, age 54, a resident of Shelton for most of her life peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Saturday October 28, 2023 in Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 29 years to John “Peewee” Recce. She was born in Bridgeport on September 27, 1969 the daughter of Marian (Spodnick) Nettle and the late Paul G. Nettle, Sr. Cara worked as a paralegal for many years but her greatest joy in life came from being a mother and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children Jessica and Brendon Recce, her brothers Paul Nettle, Jr., Robert Nettle (Dana), and Jeffrey Nettle (Monica), as well as 3 sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday November 1st from 4 to 7 pm in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. On Thursday friends are invited to go directly to St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Pl. Shelton, for Cara’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
