Carl J. D’Alessio, age 82, entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2018, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna Vinci D’Alessio.
Mr. D’Alessio was born at home in Ansonia on Nov. 3, 1935, son of the late Anthony and Esther LaRovera D’Alessio. A lifelong resident of the Ansonia community, he was employed as a Road Foreman for the City of Ansonia Dept. of Public Works for 40 years, until his retirement. Carl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his daily meeting with his friends at Osbornedale State Park in Derby.
He is survived by daughters, Denise Matusovich (Ronald), Jo-Ann DiSorbo (Antonio), Lisa Rego (Carlos) and Charlene Grover, cherished grandchildren, Carl and Kiersten Matusovich, Jessica and Nicholas DiSorbo, Anna Rego and Matthew and Carly Grover, brothers, Michael D’Alessio (Elaine) and Anthony D’Alessio Jr. (Gayle), a sister, Genevieve Kozak (George), all of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting will take place on Thursday January 25, 2018, from 8:00 am until 9:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 9:40, his funeral will proceed to the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
