Carmela R. Pedevillano, 89, lifelong resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2015, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to John N. Pedevillano.
Mrs. Pedevillano was born in Ansonia on Oct. 10, 1925, daughter of the late Salvatore and Concetta Falzone Nicoletti. While raising and taking care of her family was most important, she worked at several area companies including the former B.F. Goodrich and National School Studios. Carmela enjoyed crocheting afghans, sewing, baking cookies and especially family gatherings.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by devoted daughters, Louise Emond (Gary) of Prospect and Carol Cappellino (Anthony) of Hartsdale, NY, loving son, Paul Pedevillano (Suzanne) of Hopkinton, MA, sisters, Sue Soleski (Peter) and Angie Knott (Robert) of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Paul Dale Pedevillano, Devin Pedevillano, Rose Cappellino, Audrey Gladu, Olivia Gladu and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Anthony, Michael and Joseph Nicoletti and sisters, Mary Fusco, Lucy Pitingoro and Rose Caporale.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2015, from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia. At 9:40 am, her funeral will process to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
