Carmelina Consales

Carmelina Consales, 76, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2014, in the comfort of her home, with her loving husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of Biagio Consales.

Mrs. Consales was born in Mondrone, Caserta, Italy on January 1, 1938, daughter of the late Giovanni and Gaetana Giacinto Boanno. A resident of Derby since 1970, she was devoted to her family. Carmelina enjoyed visiting the casino and playing Italian cards and bingo.

In addition to her husband Biagio, she is survived by two daughters, Josephine Santos and Rita Lastauskas (Mark) of Naugatuck, four brothers, Frank Boanno and Marcello Boanno (Donna) of Ansonia, Dominic Boanno (Josephine) and Salvatore Boanno (Laura) of Derby, two sisters, Giustine Boanno and Lucia Boanno of Ansonia, 2 cherished grandchildren, Mitchell and Madeleine Santos, sister in law, Kathleen Boanno of Derby and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Antonio Boanno.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday August 7, 2014 from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, her funeral will be held at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Jude’s Church in Derby. Entombment will take place in Mt. St. Peter’s Garden Mausoleum in Derby.
