Carmen Adorno, 79, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2015, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Adorno was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on April 18, 1936, daughter of the late Rafael and Florentina Valentine Adorno.
Carmen is survived by four loving sons, Ruffino Gonzalez of NY, Secundino Gonzalez of WA, William Diaz of Bridgeport and Reynaldo A. Diaz of Waterbury, seven loving daughters, Rosa Varas of Long Island, NY, Dolores Gonzalez of Puerto Rico, Raquel Diaz Gonzalez of Hartford, Raphaela Diaz Marquez of Ansonia, Martha Diaz of Inwood, NY, Lana Chung of Bridgeport and Elizabeth Rodriguez of Ansonia, three sisters, 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Reynaldo B. Diaz and a daughter, Carmen S. Gonzalez.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday September 12, 2015 from 3 – 7 pm AND on Sunday September 13, 2015, from 12 – 4 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, her funeral will take place at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 15 Church Street in Ansonia.
