Carmen C. DiLisio, age 86, entered into eternal rest on August 4, 2021 at Bishop Wicke Healthcare Center in Shelton. He was the beloved husband of sixty-seven years to Anna Celello DiLisio.
Carmen was born in Derby on February 20, 1935, son of the late Carmine and Marion Geloso DiLisio. He resided in Derby for most of his life where he was employed as an electrician. Carmen began his career at BF Goodrich in Shelton, then worked for Schick /Warner Lambert in Milford and was also self-employed with C/D Electrical in Derby, until his retirement. Carmen was kind and always quick to help his family and friends with repairs or anything pertaining to electrical or plumbing. He especially loved cooking breakfast for his family. Carmen was an avid bowler who enjoyed trips to the casino. He always supported education and encouraged a good work ethic.
In addition to his wife Anna, Carmen leaves to cherish his memory, a son Carmen C. DiLisio III (Terri) of Little River, SC, daughters, Deborah Ruderman of Shelton, Laura Harris (William) of Derby, Marianne Samokar of Derby and Ann Marie Gould (Edwin) of Castaic, CA, sisters, Mary Pawloski of Burlington, CT and Theresa Jones of PA, grandchildren, Nick and Monica DiLisio of Little River, SC, Darlene Koosa (Michael) of Oxford, Lorraine Swierbitowicz (Ronald) of Naugatuck, Jeff Harris (Jessica) of Hamden, Stephanie Fernandez of Derby and Stanley Samokar of Derby, great-grandchildren, Michael, Gabriel and Deirdre Koosa, Audrey, Joseph and Grace Swierbitowicz, Kaylan Harris and Brooklyn and Brianna Fernandez, sister-in-law, Jean DiLisio of Seymour along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph DiLisio Sr., Frank DiLisio and John DiLisio, sisters, Carmela Bernabi, Francis Viega and Pauline Garofalo, and son-in-law, Michael Ruderman.
A walk-through visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday August 7, 2021 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME in Ansonia. His funeral will then proceed to St. Mary Church in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment will immediately follow the Mass in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
