Carol Ahearn, age 79, wife of David Ahearn & resident of Derby, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 11, 2012 at Griffin Hospital.
She was born Dec 24, 1933 in Meriden, daughter of the late William & Veronica Mead Conheady. Carol was a graduate of Laurelton Hall of Milford and La Salle College of Newport, R.I. She worked as a receptionist for the former Oak Dale Theatre in Wallingford and was a parishioner of St. Jude’s Church in Derby.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her son David W. Ahearn , her daughter Ellen O’Brien and several grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother James P. Conheady. Donations may be made to either The Spooner House or The Storm Engine Ambulance Co. through the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 15 with friends asked to go directly to St. Jude’s Church in Derby for 9:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. There are no calling hours.
The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
