Carol J. (Matusovich) Breen, age 72, a lifelong resident of Ansonia, entered into peaceful rest on October 6, 2022, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth P. Breen.
Carol was born in Derby on January 11, 1950, daughter of the late Charles P. and Genevieve Borkowski Matusovich. She was employed at the former Bob’s Canteen in Derby and later as a clerk at the former Adams IGA Grocery Store in Derby until her retirement. Carol loved cats and was a collector of cat figurines. She enjoyed coloring cat themed coloring books and was a fan of television sitcoms, “The Golden Girls” and “Friends.”
In addition to her husband Ken, she leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, Gerald Matusovich and William Matusovich of Oxford, sisters, Marilyn Hornak (Andrew) of North Carolina and Gail Breen (Dennis) of Ansonia as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Matusovich.
Per Carol’s request, her funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
