Carol (Poole) Ricciardi, age 72, of Seymour, and formerly of Schenectady, New York entered into peaceful rest July 6, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT.
She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy (DePalma) Mazzarella and was born on January 17, 1939 in Delanson, New York. Carol was a Para Professional for the Schenectady School System for many years and prior worked at Chromium Process in Shelton for over thirty years.
Carol is survived by her devoted daughters, Teresa Lariccia and her husband Matthew of Seymour and Annie Lotto and her husband Stephen of Prospect and her sister, Dorothy Witmer of Niskayuna, NY, four grandchildren, Anthony and Carolyn Solsbury, Stephen and Alyssa Lotto and two great grandchildren. She also leaves her niece Dottie Marie Harris of Niskayuna, NY and dear friends, Mary Kostyk and Barbara Algiero both of Milford.
Services and Interment will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2969 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518.
