Carol V. Androski, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 26, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-eight years Atty. John F.X. Androski “Jack” and their children, U.S. Army Staff Sargent John X. Androski and his wife Rachael of Anchorage, Alaska, Atty. Caroline Baird and her husband Robert of Milford, Connecticut and USMC Major Joseph F. Androski of Des Moines, Iowa and her nine grandchildren, Jackson, Eddie and Charlie Androski, Grace, Lily, Robert and Henry Baird and Lucy and Sally Androski. Carol is also survived by her sister-in-law Atty. Mary Androski Maric and her husband Dr. Radoslav Maric, her sister-in-law Marie Androski, her nephew Teak Ackman and his wife Zoe of Newport, Rhode Island and Alexis Metcalf and her husband Prescott of St. Petersburg, Florida and five grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Tine Ackman, her brother Ronald Ackman and her brother-in-law Atty. Edward Androski.
Carol was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1942. She moved to Oyster Bay, New York where she attended St. Dominic’s High School. She then attended Niagara University where she met the love of her life, Jack Androski. Carol graduated in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Niagara University College of Nursing. Carol became a Registered Nurse and first worked at Northrup Grumman and then at Glen Cove Hospital and New York Hospital where she was the head nurse in the operating room. After marrying Jack Androski in 1969, Carol moved to Connecticut and worked as a nursing instructor at St. Raphael’s Hospital and then was a private nurse for a plastic surgeon in Greenwich, Connecticut. Carol and Jack moved to Ansonia in 1972 where she lived for forty-five years. She began working in the operating room at Milford Hospital in 1979 and worked there and in the recovery room until 2000 when she retired to take care of her mother. Carol was very involved in the St. Joseph’s School in Ansonia when her children attended there from 1977 – 1989. Carol was a board member for the Julia Day Nursery. Carol’s favorite times were when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She and her husband traveled around the world together on trips led often by her brother-in-law Edward and son Jack. She made many trips to Alabama to visit her three children when they were in college and attended many Alabama games. She spent many weeks at the beaches in Hawaii and North Carolina when her sons were stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and toured the southwest when her son was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. Most importantly Carol loved to laugh and treasured every minute of being a grandmother to her nine grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Season’s Hospice Home Care Program for their assistance and Lori Pekar whose care and compassion in taking care of Carol will never be forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 30, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, Connecticut. On Friday, December 1, 2017, her funeral will begin at 10:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia, Connecticut. Interment immediately following in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby, Connecticut.
